![]() Update 1: Also, how effective are shields? Is it worth it for anyone besides a paladin to carry one? Are they build dependent? If so, how effective would said build be? My questions is….how can I balance the need for both single target and aoe effectiveness? Is there a build I should look to? Perhaps mercenaries are supposed to augment one of those builds to be effective at both? Maybe one with an aura? ![]() With the Frenzy and Zealot builds, I feel like I would be VERY ineffective at dealing with large groups of mobs, while with the Whirlwind and Hammerdin, I would be VERY in effective at dealing with bosses or tough single target encounters in general. The selection seems a little off putting. I’ve looked at what skills I’ll be using and I’ve gotta say. ![]() I’ve looked at the Frenzy Barbarian, Whirlwind Barbarian, Zealot Paladin, and the Hammerdin. So I’ve looked at some builds for the Barbarian and Paladin. Such as casting a healing spell in Elder Scrolls, reinforcing my weapon with fire in Dark Souls, or shooting away at an enemy trapped in a Web spell in Baldur’s Gate, while my primary method of dealing with combat is hacking and slashing away with my sword, axe, etc). ![]() I’ve determined that I want to be a melee class since I like hacking and slashing away at my enemies rather than casting fireballs or shooting at them with arrows (I’m ok with shooting arrows or casting spells in RPGs, but they’re more of a…….supplement so to speak. I do plan on trying to run through all difficulties. Last but not least.I’ve been researching builds, trying to determine what will be effective. They have just enough stats to wear all their gear, the rest of their skills and stats are left open for you to choose. They all have some basic gear - nothing special. This is a pack containing all characters at lvl 99. I recommend backing them up after you download them so you can dupe anything you need from them. This includes a 99 sorc with 1k all stats 20 all skills several high runes and some good/some bad items, and a Paladin with almost all the runes. I recommend using the former if you download them all. ![]() There is a duplicate name between the Paladin with all the runes in the first pack, and the paladin in the second pack. ![]()
